Remembering. . . . . .

Remembering innocent lives sacrificed because of hate and fear.....

Our greatest tribute is to not act from similar feelings.....

Lest we be like those who caused the devastating events.....

9/11/2001.....

Almost a decade ago.....

Twenty first century tragedy

  1. I was remembering 9/11 too JoAnn...it's hard to believe it's nine years ago. I had to post something about that horrific time. Your words are wonderful...and so true. Thank You. ~Joy

  2. Well said!!!!! I spent the afternoon watching the Buckeyes beat Miami. The world has been too much with me of late so I needed to distance myself from re-living that event and deal with something less earth-shaking.

  3. I had turned on the TV to check local weather, and I remember seeing the second tower fall. I thought at first it was a clip from a disaster movie. When I drove to work, there was little traffic, and what there was, was erratic and shook me up even more. No one knew yet what was going on, or who had done what. At work--supervising interns at a local university counseling center--we talked about the importance of taking care of yourself so that you could withstand crisis. One of the interns said, " I want to go after the people who did this!" I said, "Of course, but don't you want to know who it was, so you can go after the right people?" At the time, I thought the perpetrators were some of our own home-grown crazies. And now, in a strange cause-effect reversal...
