I forgot it's Father's Day! Mine was pretty special and not a day goes by that I don't think of him...so I'm excused. Right?
ReplyDeleteYes even if they are no longer with us, who we are was formed by those great men who put family first. I miss my Daddy so much.
ReplyDeleteSorry to say I never got on with my father and we didn't speak to each other for twenty years. He just wanted a son who was identical to himself and couldn't cope with the idea that I was totally different. I always wonder what a more understanding and open-minded father would have been like.

ReplyDeleteI never met my "real" father - AKA sperm donor as he hit the street before I was born. I've often wondered ifI have any more half brothers or sisters out there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI actually never even saw a picture of the guy until I was 21.
Ah very mixed feelings on this. Later in life he was fine but earlier he terrorized.
